Neal Maxwell - A blessing in my life!

"Someday when we look back on mortality, we will see that so many of the things that seemed to matter so much at the moment will be seen not to have mattered at all. And the eternal things will be seen to have mattered even more than the most faithful of the Saints imagined.

If you have not chosen the Kingdom of God first,
It will, in the end, make no difference what you have chosen instead."

Whey Smoothie!!

I have added a green whey product to my list of alkaline diet items but have been having a hard time getting it down. I think it is the consistency so I made a smoothie with organic blueberries, cherries and the whey and a cleansing powder of lemon, cayenne that I had purchased some time ago. Anyway, the results were remarkable!! It is delicioso and will be a daily drink that I look forward to.

There is quite a bit of good information about whey and its benefits in the book The Acid-Alkaline Diet for Optimum Health by Christopher Vasey, N.D.

Keep reading and studying for your own health. Good luck everyone!!

Tidbit that popped into my mind: A lot of what we are physically has to do with what we put in our mouths. Mindless eating can be hazardous to our health. We may have less control over the environmental causes of disease but we can control the elbow to mouth reflex!!!

Lemon & Lime

A lemon or lime squeezed in water is also alkalizing. Doesn't get any simpler than that. Even though lemons and limes are acidic upon drinking, they turn alkaline in the body!!

Almond Milk!

Almonds and Brazil nuts are the only alkalizing oleaginous fruits. They can be eaten just as they are, or chopped or sliced and mixed with salads, veggies. Some dietetic and health food stores sell a sugarless almond paste, which can be mixed with water to make almond milk, a very pleasant and alkalizing beverage. Above information taken from The Acid-Alkaline Diet Book which is mentioned on the right hand of this blog.

Just a note - test the water you are drinking with lithmus paper. In both the books I have listed and in the online printout information www.cancer-prevention there is information about water that we all need to take into consideration especially because we need to be flooding our cells with water. Not a good idea to flood our cells with water that is acidic if we are trying to cure or prevent cancer and all degenerative diseases from flourishing in our bodies.

Cancer & Sugar Connection

Diets loaded with sugar and refined carbohydrates don't help our chances of not getting cancer. Refined carbs digest so fast they act like sugar, and cancer cells love sugar!! They have about 8 times more receptor cells for capturing sugar than healthy cells.

Overcoming cancer is a process of reversing the conditions that allowed the cancer to develop, and going after and killing cancerous cells.

The exact causes don't have to be known, though certainly the more varied the approaches taken to correct those conditions, the more likely you are going to hit on what works best in a particular case. What you need to do is to strongly and dramatically interrupt and reverse the cancer-causing conditions in your body so that it becomes healthier, and stops breeding cancer.

Taken from the website mentioned in the previous blog www.cancer-prevention.net. Lot of information on chemicals, toxins, pesticides, etc. that are contributing factors to cancerous cells.

Worth a daily read to help us all remember what it is we should be doing even as prevention. This diet is nothing more than the word of wisdom. Green, Green, Green,(veggies and meat sparingly but then only in times of famine) meat is very acidic and veggies are very alkaline - the greener the better!

Larry's Complete Recovery!!

From this point forward this site is to help us all help Larry cure himself of cancer. There is hope and to prove that I am including this website for everyone to take a look at www.cancer-prevention.net (include the hyphen). Since Larry's diagnosis I have been especially diligent with keeping my system alkaline. After only two days of drinking a green drink and eating 90% vegetables my stools are now green and I feel better than ever. I do not even feel my stomach which, for me, is a tale-tell sign that my system is working for me. After reading the above mentioned material and reading this book entitled "The Acid-Alkaline Diet for Optimum Health," by Christopher Vasey, N.D. and taking into account the therapy given from Cathy at the health store in San Marcos and the blessing that Larry received from Aubry with a second witness of the outcome of Larry's prognosis from Travis and my constant referral back to the blessing, as well, these last few weeks when my faith wavered because of the doctors stats which Larry had already proven wrong by a long shot, give me extreme assurance that all will be well if Larry, with help from Linda, can beat the odds. I remember at one point after the blessing thinking of how Larry would be an example to others through all of this. Many things came to mind but it was very interesting that I had this instant, yet fleeting, thought that it would be through his diet. At that time, no diet plan had even been discussed. Often times, the Lord knows what our families need in order to go through this life healthy and able to serve Him in a manner we should be able to because of our well-being. We can all do better and it is imperative that Larry be extreme in his efforts to thwart the cancer. If anyone can put their mind to something and be obedient to the things they know to produce certain outcomes, it is Larry. We have that to our advantage along with his physical fitness going into the surgery. Just a thought which was addressed in the book mentioned above. Check your water with lithmus paper and if it is acidic which most is these days, there are drops of supplements that you can put in your water to make it alkaline (also in the book). Love to all, Dee
